Greg Gutfeld was himself during his late-night show on Fox News, even with the former Commander-in-Chief on the set. He's a bit of a smart-aleck, but insightful and his guest needed no introduction ... Donald Trump. The former President was in NYC for a rally where he told attenders (most of whom live in the beleaguered city) to vote for him because, "What have you got to lose?!?"
Hilarious.
It's a brilliant approach. Like many illiberal-run cities across the country, The Big Apple is collapsing on itself and Trump nailed it with a simplified, low-information or shallow-information voter rationale.
"Try something else."
Of course, Trump is one of them at heart. He's a former Dem (back when it wasn't something to be totally embarrassed of) and he understands the way many voters in New York think.
Interesting to me was that a buddy of mine (remaining nameless) who doesn't like Trump at all watched it. He's a Republican and a thoughtful conservative, if not hardcore, and NOT a Never-Trumper. He pragmatic. Trump's policies were (and still are) infinitely better than the competition. He voted for (and will again) Trump.
But when HE told me Trump's stop on Gutfeld! was "the best he has ever seen or heard" from "The Donald," I took note. So, here you go...the visit. You decide and let me know what you think: Preston@iHeartRadio.com.
