Idalia is coming. It will likely not hit near Panama City and to the west, but to the east there will probably be some effect, at least as of now. How much, we do not know. The storm is moving fast which is good, because it will not gather as much strength in the warm waters as it might otherwise, but the speed also means you need to get prepared quickly.
I am posting a link to a modeling simulator, Windy, I have used for years in conjunction with experts from the National Hurricane Center, the Weather Channel, and the late Dr. Peter Ray. This model is based on an aggregate of contemporary modeling predictions and seems to rely heavily on the European models you may see out there.
Generally, I find it the most accurate.
You can see the track by the hour and day, plus zoom in and see more specific areas and cities.
Remember, keep a transistor radio with batteries ready in case we need to be on the air to keep you aware and company.
