And whether you know it, or recognize it, she has been your friend, too. She has tirelessly defended the 2nd Amendment for her entire professional life. She was instrumental in Florida's progress over the years and, yes, sad as it may be, the fight to keep the right to bear arms has been a fight measured in years.
Whatever has happened, and will happen, in Florida's expansion of gun rights and our return to the original intent of the 2nd Amendment, it will be accomplished due to the work done over decades by Marion.
She has been tireless, never, ever backing down from a tussle and we are grateful Marion has been a faithful listener, supporter, encourager, (at times fact checker) and contributor of my show.
I am honored and proud to say that my (our) path crossed and, at times, merged with Marion Hammer's. I am better for it (and so are you) and our nation and the 2nd Amendment is safer because of her.
