This story has all of the elements of why we often dislike elected officials. In this case, the "official" (I avoid using the word "leader" for obvious reasons) is Rhode Island State Senator Joshua Miller, Democrat. I highlight the party affilation for one reason.
Miller keyed a guy's SUV because it had a "Biden Sucks" sticker on it.
He says he was threatened because he is "Senator Miller" and an anti-2nd Amendment guy. His claims are bogus because the victim had no clue who he is (how many State lawmakers could you recognize out in public?), there did not appear to be any interaction between them (so much for the threat), and he lied about keying the guy's vehicle. So much for credibility. He was videotaped doing it.
This video shows the arrest. It's not a big dramatic scene, but it offers glimpse into this guy's mind and character, or lack thereof. All he had to do was own it. Yet even as police ask him to come downtown, and his wife finds out what happened, he cannot bring himself to admit what he did.
