Illiberals want theirs, but don't want you to have yours.
This was brilliantly illustrated in the House Judiciary Committee this week when the subject of "assault weapons" came up. Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA and a man who needs no introduction) was offering the usual illiberal brain-dead speech about firearms. It is important to note that Schiff stated Republicans think "we (Democrats) don't understand guns..." and went on to add that he and other Dems "know what a high-capacity round does to a child's body." Let's just pause for a moment and let that statement sink in.
Schiff just created his own evidence of not understanding the subject of guns.
A "high capacity round" has nothing to do with its velocity or power. Every round can be a "high capacity round" so long as the magazine holding it is large enough. He just proved my point. Dems love the protection they receive from people holding firearms, they just do not want you to have the same.
Sadly for Schiff, Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX), an Army vet who piloted combat missions in the Apache Attack helicopter, was on the committee as well. He nailed it. Endure the nonsense of Schiff because it makes Hunt's words all the sweeter to the ear.
