I could literally write for hours on this topic.
Roe v. Wade.
Over the years even Roe came to the opinion she was wrong and became a staunch pro-life woman. This is not about rape, incest, or life of the mother because those cases are so remarkably rare they are easily handled case-by-case.
This is about an atrocity. The ending of sixty-three million lives and nearly all in the name of convenience or because the couple or woman wanted a boy and it was a girl or the other way around. Yes, the sex of the child has been a growing cause for abortion. It makes me want to vomit.
As has been the case in all of history if you dehumanize a person or group of persons it becomes easier to commit crimes against them. That is the case of segregationists and the Klan. It's what happened to Jews by Nazis.
This has been the tactic since Roe v. Wade.
Given the time I could destroy the arguments of the abortionists. Women's right to choose, my body - my choice, it's a fetus not a person, viability . . . the list goes on and on.
The truth is . . . the overwhelming majority of unwanted pregnancies result from engaging in sex outside of marriage and without some form of birth control. Consenting adults can start there. People like me don't much care if a woman decides to sleep with the debate or football team (that is her choice . . . a bad one, but still hers to make). Where the line is drawn is when there is a life. It's a human being - nothing else. A person. Our Constitution proclaims certain inalienable rights and the first on the list is "Life."
I will let you give this a look and listen. I just stumbled upon it. It's called "The Greatest Takedown of the Pro-Choice Position You've Ever Heard." It might be, maybe not . . . but at the very least it will sharpen your ability to defend life.
