I have chronicled the decline of Fox News.
Inside the industry it is thought the sons of Ruper Murdoch are behind the shift at the news desk and the predicted slip with audience. James can't be blamed too much because he stepped down from the Board of Directors at News Corp. So, that leaves Lachlan.
Regardless, it was clear something was up when FOX left behind "Fair & Balanced" as its slogan a few years back and went to "America's listening (or watching) FOX News." Fox had always been down the middle with reporting, with hosts leaning right or well right for the most part. Remember, middle is always to the right of left. Reporting seemed to be right leaning, but only because the mainstreamers are all so far left it appeared that way.
But on election night when FOX News called the Arizona election results way too early. Their faithful viewers were not happy campers.
It had nothing to do with sharing bad or unfavorable news about President Donald Trump. It had to do with irresponsibly calling an election result before voting even stopped. FOX News is helped by the pathetic nature of the mainstream media, but where FOX once stood apart it now has its toe in the water of bad reporting.
This will not help and it explains the philosophical change at the top of News Corp and the growth of NewsMax, The Blaze, and other outlets.
And it would appear Ivory Hecker of FOX 26 has been let go.
