What's Wrong With This Picture?

We've all made mistakes writing an email, note, proposal, etc. Depending on the importance of it, hopefully we seek out a proof reader (my wife is amazing) before hitting the send button or shipping it off for duplication. I write these little blogs sometimes without a good proof-reading. It happens.

I remember laughing out loud (a lot) when I saw a local tattoo artist's sign with a misplaced apostrophe. Not a good omen if you are looking for a permanent tat on the arm or wherever. Tattoos certainly require the "artist" have a basic grasp of spelling and grammar, right? I also think when something is being printed for the public, like signs, there needs to be a few set of eyes looking at the proof before going ahead. After all it's a paid for product.

Perhaps it is the state of education in America today. Or maybe it's an indicator of pride - that too many people are unwilling to have someone else offer a correction. Then again, it could be we are just in a rush and there's no time to have someone look it over.

In the case of this photo it could be any of those options, but there could be a fourth which is even more concerning to me.

There were at least two sets of eyes for this simple sign - the submitter and the producer. I hold both as responsible for the outcome, but more so the producer because it is their job to notice an obvious mistake and ask the submitter (aka: client) if they want a correction.

It all leads here...can you spot the mistake?

Can you find the mistake?
