Pandemic could be over, IF this had happened?

One of the President's key advisers seems to be saying the isolation plan should stay in place until a vaccine is available.

Ahhh...no. Not-gonna-happen. Wrong. No way, Jose. Nada. SMH...SMH!!!!!

Not only is it impractical within the framework of the economy, it is not likely a vaccine will be available soon, if ever. Have you ever heard of HIV? I'm sure you are aware there has never been a vaccine. There's been treatment, vastly improved treatment. I remember when the world feared its spread before it was learned the limited ways it could be transmitted.

We have a flu vaccine, yet millions (39-to-55 million, in fact) will have had the flu this 2019-2020 flu season with tens of thousands of deaths. That's with a vaccine. Why does it happen? Because people get the flu and some people are not able to fight it effectively.

Clearly, COVID-19 is different and not in good ways, yet one respected specialist has said we (and much of the world) have done the exact opposite thing we should have done. Dr. Knut Wittkowski believes we should have kept the elderly and health compromised at a distance and the rest kept working, kept going to school, kept living our lives. He believes herd immunity would have taken hold quickly. Dr. Wittkowski has the history and statistics of these kinds of virus as his supporting evidence.

Yes, there appears to be a mortality rate at 2% or less. His argument is we are exacerbating and prolonging the pandemic which he claims would have been all but over by now had we not slowed down the spread.

Is he crazy or reasoned? You decide.

Sidebar: Curiously, the mainstream media seems intent on ignoring or denigrating the success hydroxychloroquine is having treating COVID-19. It's almost as if there is actually a thought out there that this pandemic could usher in the government controlled life some have dreamed of for the U.S.A.

Consider, California Gov. Gavin Newsome (a sudden supporter of President Trump) has stated the silver-lining in all this is a more progressive country on the other side. That illiberalese for a "larger, more controlling government."
