LISTEN: Apollo 11 Engineer Talks Mission To The Moon

His job was to insure the massive Saturn V rocket was ready for launch and to be there should questions or problems arise. With a 51 year career as an aerospace engineer Jim Ogle worked in the development and use of the Saturn rockets - from I to V. He was in launch control when it lifted off and he was watching his television like many of us when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed and set foot on a new celestial body - the moon.

His memories offered a unique insight into the program which accomplished "one giant leap for mankind" as we remember Apollo 11 on July 20 on its 50th anniversary of "The Eagle" landing.

Enjoy.
