When I met Jerome Hudson, I knew he was a special young man.
I have been privileged to have some amazing young people serve as producers and interns here at The Morning Show over the last seventeen years. Of course, not all were young, but all were younger than me. Each person who has been "on the other side of the glass" has bettered my life and imprinted upon me as a person in a positive way.
One day, I will go through the list and do a kind of, "Where are they now?" kind of thing, but today's blog is about Jerome.
He always had such a powerful sense of right and wrong. He was articulate beyond his years and a very deep thinker. He served as an intern on the program and upon leaving doors just opened wide. They opened not because of me or anything I did, but because Jerome had a calling and he was, and is, God's man.
So, when I caught wind of his speech at a Blexit (blacks exiting the Democrat party) rally in Virginia it did not surprise me in the slightest. Someday, I hope to have Jerome back on the show. In the meantime...
