There were some good ads aired during the Super Bowl, but three stood out to me (with a fourth I will toss in because it was just foo funny). First up, is what I think was the best. Verizon's tribute to first responders. The back story is the man invited to speak to first responders about his life-saving experience was, in fact, speaking to those who saved him years before.
Next up (in no particular order) is the Hyundai ad. I cannot begin to tell you how proud I am to be connected to a company which tells the political correct culture to pound sand. This ad screams, "Have a laugh." It's interesting, Todd Starnes has written a column suggesting the PC world can't take a joke which is why little humor exists anymore.
Making on my Top-3 list is the NFL itself. Yes, the league has fumbled often in recent years, but not this commercial celebrating the first 100 years of the league. To fully enjoy this you need to know who everyone is in the ad, but if you do you will LOVE it. It's also long.
An honorable mention goes to M&Ms which pulled out Christina Applegate to star with the little candied goodness in the back-seat. This was just funny.
