Years after "Throw Them All Out" Led to Reform, Some Are At It Again
A few years ago when Peter Schweizer penned the book "Throw Them All Out" immediate reform took place on Capitol Hill, such was the embarrassment of members of the U.S. House and Senate.
Why?
Because people are rotting in prison for doing exactly what some of these same politicians had been doing for decades...legally. But the legislation to correct insider trading was watered down and so, here comes GOP Rep. Chris Collins of New York. He apparently did not personally profit from insider trading, but his son and a friend did.
I talked with Peter about the problem and this specific case.
