WATCH: Ford honors WWII Pilots

During WWII, American pilots volunteered to fly for the Royal Air Force of Great Britain. The RAF is celebrating its 100th anniversary and was the inspiration needed for Ford to create a themed Mustang to be auctioned off to benefit the Experimental Aircraft Association.

The EAA has a program which encourages young pilots and its AirVenture at Oshkosh (Wisconsin) is one of the biggest aviation events in the world. So, to raise money for the youth education program Ford has created an amazing Mustang, inspired by the British Spitfire, the plane which held its own against the Germans in WWII.

If you are a car fan, check it out. And Ford, thank you for being very cool and a friend to something I love, aviation. Ford, truly had a better idea.
