Secretary Rubio's Viral Pop-Tarts Confession

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is trending online after his wife comically exposed his deep love for Pop-Tarts during a viral appearance on The Katie Miller Podcast.

Watch the hilarious moment Marco Rubio's wife exposes his junk-food habits during the podcast interview:

During a wide-ranging, lighthearted joint interview with his wife, Jeanette, host Katie Miller asked the nation's top diplomat if he supported the administration's "Make America Healthy Again" (MAHA) movement.

"I'm in favor of MAHA. Like I think people should be healthy," Rubio began, before Jeanette quickly interjected to blow his cover.

"No, he's not," Jeanette laughed, revealing that her husband regularly indulges in junk food. When pressed on his favorite snacks, she immediately called him out, saying, "Pop-Tarts. He eats all the things he should not be eating."

The Secretary of State quickly jumped to defend his breakfast pastry of choice with a hilarious, hyper-patriotic pitch.

"The Pop-Tart is one of the great American innovations in the history of the world, if you think about it," Rubio joked. "It comes in this beautiful foil package."

Rubio added that while he supports public health, he won't be adopting the extreme clean-eating regimens championed by other Washington officials. "I'm not going to travel the world with a cooler full of sauerkraut. It's ridiculous. I can't do it," Rubio said. He later doubled down on social media, clarifying that cherry is his absolute favorite flavor.
