It's the first Tuesday in August and for many law enforcement agencies across the country and around the state, that means it's National Night Out.
The West Palm Beach Police Department is hosting its annual event tonight at Gaines Park along Australian Avenue. It's happening from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and includes a DJ, activities for your kids and a free backpack giveaway for back-to-school while they last.
The Boynton Beach Police Department will host their National Night Out event tomorrow night at the police headquarters.
Meanwhile, a majority of our local agencies, including PBSO, host their National Night Out events in October to coincide with National Crime Prevention Month.
