Charlotte County, FL - Florida is preparing for the addition of several new Buc-ee’s travel centers across the state, with locations planned along I-75, I-95, and I-10.
Property records show that a parcel off Harborview Road near I-75 in Charlotte County is owned by Buc-ee’s, suggesting a potential site for a future travel center.
Earlier this year, the Charlotte County Commission approved rezoning for approximately 653 acres, primarily for residential development, while a smaller portion of the land may be used for the proposed Buc-ee’s.
Plans presented to the commission include widening Harborview Road to four lanes, adding a roundabout at the intersection of Harborview Road and West Village Project Driveway, and modifying I-75 ramps to improve traffic flow.
County officials are evaluating a potential fee from Buc-ee’s to address traffic concerns raised by local residents.
In Marion County near Ocala, a 74,000-square-foot Buc-ee’s is planned along I-75 north of the city.
This location is expected to open in 2026 and was initially projected to be the largest in the nation before a Texas store opened in 2024.
North of Fort Pierce, a new location is planned near the I-95 Indrio Road interchange, with preliminary plans showing up to 120 gas pumps and 778 parking spaces.
In Tallahassee, a 75,000-square-foot Buc-ee’s is proposed off I-10, projected to create approximately 200 jobs.
These developments highlight the chain’s ongoing expansion in Florida, with multiple locations expected to open in the coming years to serve travelers along the state’s major highways.
