Questions are being asked, and accountability being demanded, after a college student goes viral for a video shows him being repeatedly punched by a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office deputy during a February traffic stop.
William McNeil Jr says he was simply asking why he was being pulled over and needed to step out of the car when a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office deputy broke his window, punched him and pulled him out of the vehicle.
While Sheriff T.K. Waters has said he will neither defend nor commend the officer's actions as an administrative investigation continues, civil rights attorney Ben Crump believes Waters must condemn it.
"You have to look at that video and say this does not reflect our training, our policies or our values, and you need to terminate that officer immediately, " Crump said.
McNeil pleaded guilty to resisting an officer and driving with a suspended license.
