Former President Trump declared victory during a 2:30 a.m. speech at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. He says America is about to enter a golden age and that he'll fight for the people and vowed to deliver a prosperous America. Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris to become the next President of the United States. He spent most of Election Night at Mar-a-Lago with names like Elon Musk, who rode with him to the Convention Center later. Musk says Trump has been given a "crystal clear mandate" by the American people. In a series of posts overnight on X, the Tesla and SpaceX billionaire celebrated Trump's projected victory.

Trump got a big win in Florida. He won the state by about 13 percentage points. That's the largest margin of the victory in the state in a presidential election since George H.W. Bush in 1988.

Among the local candidates to win their races were Congressmen and women Brian Mast and Lois Frankel, Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw, who defeated his longtime second-in-command Michael Gauger. Bradshaw is already the longest-serving sheriff in county history after first being elected in 2004. Also, Port St. Lucie Police Chief Richard Del Toro will become the new St. Lucie County Sheriff and Indian River County Sheriff Eric Flowers secured his re-election last night. There were also three Palm Beach County Commission races and Republicans lost their short-lived majority on the three-member board.

There will be a new state attorney in PBC for the first time in 12 years after Dave Aronberg chose not to run for re-election. The candidate he endorsed has won by about one percent. Alexcia Cox defeating Republican challenger Sam Stern by just about one percent of the vote.

Palm Beach County voters approved a half-percent sales tax increase to pay for public schools.

State House race winners include Republican incumbents Mike Caruso, Peggy Gosset-Seidman, John Snyder and Toby Overdorf. In District 93, former Wellington Mayor, Republican Anne Gerwig has a lead of less than half a percent over Democrat incumbent Katherine Waldron and Republican Meg Weinberger defeats Democrat Rachelle Litt in District 94, Republican Rick Roth's seat which he is vacating because he is term-limited. Also, two state Senate Republicans on the Treasure Coast hold onto their seats...Gayle Harrell and Erin Grall.

In Martin County, Republican County Commission candidate Eileen Vargas has defeated a write-in candidate to win the race for the District 1 seat. Martin County voters have passed a half percent sales tax increase as well as the continuation of a millage increase for the School Board. In Indian River County, Republican Laura Moss has defeated a write-in candidate in District 5.
