Jacksonville, FL – The Georgia-Florida football rivalry will be temporarily relocated to Atlanta and Tampa due to stadium renovations in Jacksonville.

A historic shift is coming to the iconic Georgia-Florida football rivalry due to ongoing renovations at EverBank Stadium.

Officials say the 2026 and 2027 matchups will be relocated.

The 2026 game will be held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, while the 2027 game will take place at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

These are only the 11th and 12th times the rivalry game will be played outside of Jacksonville since its inception in 1915.

The last time the game was played in Tampa was in 1919, a game the Florida Gators lost 16-0.

It's anticipated that the rivalry will return to its traditional home in Jacksonville in 2028, once stadium renovations are complete.
