The Broward Sheriff's Office says they have nabbed an habitual high-end car thief.

According to BSO, suspected car thief Franklin Sanders has had a busy couple of days.

Last Friday, BSO detectives arrested Sanders for the grand theft of a Mercedes Maybach in Lauderdale Lakes.

He was released on bond Monday, and then on Wednesday Sanders was arrested again for grand theft of a BMW sedan in Osceola County.

Deputies and Florida B.A.T. (Burglary Apprehension Team) detectives took Sanders and a 16-year-old into custody on charges of grand theft of a motor vehicle, unoccupied burglary of a structure and other charges.

BSO warns that high-end auto theft is an ongoing problem and are reminding Floridians to never leave car doors unlocked or keys, garage door openers or valuables in the car.
