Lake Buena Vista, FL - A Florida man used an $8 ticket from the 1970s with no expiration date to gain entry to Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom.
In a viral TikTok video boasting over 8.5 million views, Matthew Ables revealed his enchanting journey into Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, using a ticket from the 1970s that he considered an "old family keepsake."
Ables, in awe, discovered that this seemingly antiquated ticket became his "golden pass" into the iconic Disney park in Orlando.
Ables recounted in the video how the vintage pass, originally valued at $8, had been "collecting dust" since before his birth.
Remarkably, upon inspection, he found that the ticket had never been used and had no expiration date.
Uncertain about the ticket's validity, Ables nervously approached the ticket booth.
In the video, he described his anxiety as the cast member aggressively stamped 'void' all over the ticket booklet and then left.
However, to his surprise, a few moments later, a cast member handed him a yellow pass, granting him entry to the park for the day.
The 1978 ticket, which was originally valid for a single day at Magic Kingdom, turned out to be a charming time capsule.
Ables marveled at the success of his whimsical adventure, considering that a contemporary one-day ticket to Magic Kingdom now ranges from $109 to $164, depending on the day of visit.
