An elderly Lyft driver from Palm Beach Gardens is still missing and his family's fears went from bad to worse when his car was found in North Carolina.

Cops say it was being driven by a wanted murder suspect, who led them on a high-speed chase Thursday night that ended when Mathew Scott Flores crashed.

74-year old Gary Levin (LEV-in) disappeared after driving a passenger to Okeechobee on Monday.

Flores changed out the license plates after taking the vehicle, but police confirm it was Levin's car.

According to authorities in Rutherford County in North Carolina, Flores had a warrant out for his arrest out of Desoto County, Florida. After the crash, he was taken into custody.
