Nude Melbourne man steals truck from dealership, leads cops on chase

A nude Florida man was arrested after stealing a pickup truck from a car dealership and leading authorities on a chase across Melbourne early Wednesday morning.

Richard Blose, 40, was spotted by an employee at Fiat of Melbourne completely naked in a paint booth just before 7AM Wednesday.

Blose then jumped into a 2021 Dodge Ram truck, backed out of the paint booth, and drove away from the dealership.

Surveillance footage showed Blose at the dealership around 5AM wearing only underwear, walking around the dealership, and sitting on the roof of a car for 30 minutes.

Police say Blose than damaged a motorcycle and a pickup truck, before getting in the Dodge Ram and stealing it from the dealership.

The Melbourne Police Department contacted the stolen truck’s owner and were able to track the vehicle via GPS, locating it heading north on Interstate 95.

An officer in an unmarked vehicle saw the truck “driving erratic” and striking a guardrail multiple times, before exiting the highway in Cocoa.

Melbourne police say when they finally cornered Blose at a house in Cocoa, he stepped out from the truck totally naked and didn’t put up a fight when officers arrested him.
