Five Arrested in Drive By Killing of Tampa Child

TAMPA -- Five people are facing charges in the drive-by shooting last August that killed a four year old girl.

The Hillsborough State Attorney's office says Tampa officers and detectives' hard work led to several breaks in the murder of four year old Suni Bell. The five indicted are Andrew Thompson and Jaylin Bedward, both 22, 24-year-old James Denson, 28-year-old Quandarious Hammond and 30-year-old Zvante Sampson. All are accused in the child's death and attempted murder of the driver, and two are accused of attempting to kill a third person. The case is still active and police are continuing to ask for tips, indicating that more arrests are possible.

Suni died the evening of August 22nd after someone fired into the car in which she was a passenger, on East Hillsborough Avenue near 43rd Street.
