USF To Host In-Person Graduations for First Time Since COVID-19

TAMPA -- For the first time since the pandemic, the University of SOuth Florida in Tampa plans to hold graduation ceremonies in person.

USF president Steven Currall says this spring's commencement ceremonies will take place May 7th through the 9th at Tropicana Field in St Petersburg. It's the first in person graduation since December 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic. Each student will be allowed to bring two guests, with others allowed to watch via live streaming.

USF won't know how many ceremonies will be held until after the RSVP deadline of APril 5th. USF also plans in the future to honor 2020 graduates who couldn't participate in person, at a date yet to be announced.
