Florida VA Medical Center Touts 10,000th Vaccination

More of Florida's veterans have been getting shots against COVID-19.

The West Palm Beach VA Medical Center recently reached a milestone by administering their 10,000th coronavirus vaccine to healthcare workers and veterans who are eligible for the shots.

Hospital spokeswoman Kenita Tills says the vaccines have been distributed since December.

"Literally when we got the vaccine on the 22nd we started vaccinated people within the hour. We were so excited. Our team is really excited to get this vaccine in the arms of the veterans who are enrolled with us."

They are now offering the vaccines to veterans ages 70 and older who already receive care at the VA.
