Suspect In Hit & Run That Killed Pregnant Woman In Custody

West Palm Beach Police Friday morning announced that they have arrested 39-year old Priscila Nicolas Antonio, charging her in the hit and run that claimed the life of a pregnant woman.

Officers from the department, along with members of the Martin County Sheriff's Office, found the woman at a home in Indiantown.

Antonio was tracked down through the VIN number on the van used in the crash that killed 34-year old Catarina Marcos on Tuesday, and injured her 3-year old daughter. Police on Thursday had said the child died, but later retracted that statement. They say Jessica Guzman remains in critical condition.

The condition of Marcos' infant, who was saved after the crash, is unknown.

Marcos and Guzman were struck when a Honda Odyssey backed up at a fast rate of speed as they were walking in front of the driveway of a home on Pinewood Avenue.

Police found the van at a home a few blocks away, but the license plate had been removed, so they used the vehicle's VIN number to discover that it was owned by Antonio.

She faces several charges including leaving the scene of a crash involving death and driving without a license.
