Broward School Board Votes To Start In-Person Learning

The Broward School Board has voted to approve the reopening of schools on Tuesday. The president of the Broward Teachers Union is speaking out. Anna Fusco is calling Governor Ron DeSantis and Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran bullies for mandating schools reopen for face-to-face learning next week or face $66 million dollars in funding losses.

The board approving the transition to phased-in in-person learning beginning with Pre-K through 2nd grade next Tuesday. Grades 3, 4, 5, 6, and 9 will return Thursday. Grades 7, 8, 10, 11, and 12 head back to classrooms a week from Monday.

This coming Monday is a teacher work day.
