Broward School Board Adopts Final School Reopening Plan

Broward's online school reopening plan getting the final A-OKAY before the start of school next Wednesday. Board member Laurie Rich Levinson says it's a comprehensive plan covering 16 aspects of reopening like cleaning practices, child care, mental health, transportation and live online learning. Broward's Superintendent Robert Runcie says they will start online only but the district will reassess conditions every two weeks. They're looking for the daily COVID-19 positivity rate to get down to 5-percent, in the past week, Broward’s positivity rate has averaged 9-point-3-percent.
