Florida Breaks Record For New COVID-19 Cases With 10,109 New Cases

Florida reaches yet another grim coronavirus milestone--adding 10-thousand-109 new cases today, marking the largest jump of the pandemic. University of Florida Dr. Glenn Morris says the best way to slow things down is with contact tracing, but with numbers this large we are losing the ability to do it. Miami-Dade has logged 1-thousand deaths, spurring Mayor Carlos Gimenez to issue a countywide mask mandate. Broward has also strengthened its mask rules and ordered onsite dining to close in the overnight hours. All South Florida beaches are closed for the holiday weekend.
