A Boynton Beach Police captain is retiring after over 20 years of service.
Richard McNevin survived a shooting in 2008.
He was shot while chasing a suspect and says that was one of the most memorable moments of his careers, though he tries to keep the positive moments at the top of his mind.
The captain says throughout his career, he knows he's made a difference in people's lives.
Today is McNevin's final day before he moves to Georgia with his family and plans to spend more time with them.
