The First Set Of Democratic Presidential Hopefuls Set To Debate In Miami

The eyes of the political world on downtown Miami as the first group of qualified Democratic presidential candidates takes to the stage for the first debate at The Adrienne Arsht Center. The field is so wide, there will be no winner in the debates tonight or tomorrow. Nova Southeastern Univeristy Political science professor Charles Zelden says that's not even the goal. He with more than a year to go until the election-voters should not focus who they will support- but rather who do they want to continue to listen to in the coming months. The DNC has sanctioned 12 debates-the next one is set next month in Detroit.

Security will be at an all-time high during the dates. Miami Police Chief Jorge Colina says they have been working on their plan for months and are prepared for any and everything. He says avoid the area around 13-hundred Biscayne Boulevard if possible, the traffic and security will be very heavy.
