Miami International Airport Testing New 3-D Security Scanner

New technology lands at Miami International Airport. The TSA now testing a 3-D C-T scanner to detect explosives and other prohibited items in carry-on bags. Security Director Dan Ronan says the technology goes above and beyond the traditional 2-D scanners. He says this could cut down on wait times since TSA agents won't have to physically open so many bags, they will know right away if there's a threat. The new scanner is located in Concourse D at TSA Checkpoint #4. The airport hopes to have 9 more scanners within the year.
