The New York Rangers (39-36-7) shut out the Tampa Bay Lightning (47-27-8) 4-0 on Thursday night at Madison Square Garden in New York to conclude the 2024-2025 regular season.
Nikita Kucherov secured the NHL scoring title in the loss, finishing the regular season with 121 points in 78 games played.
The Lightning now will begin a Best-of-Seven first round playoff series with the Florida Panthers coming up on Tuesday night. Puck drop in game one between the Lightning and Panthers is scheduled for 8:30 PM on Tuesday night.
