The Tampa Bay Lightning (43-26-7) defeated the Montreal Canadiens (29-34-12) 7-4 on Thursday night at Bell Centre in Montreal. The win gives the Lightning a clean sweep of a road back-to-back, after defeating the Maple Leafs 4-1 on Wednesday in Toronto.
Steven Stamkos had two goals and an assist, while Nikita Kucherov had a goal and two assists, to set the pace. Nicholas Paul also scored twice in the victory.
Matt Tomkins got the start in net for Tampa Bay, getting his first start since November 7. He went 26-of-30 in net to get the win.
The Lightning now travel to Pittsburgh to play the Penguins on Saturday afternoon. Puck drop is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Saturday.
