Couple Charged With Assault For Pulling Gun On Black Woman And Her Daughter

A couple from Clarkston, Michigan, has been charged with felonious assault after pulling a gun on a black woman and her daughter. Jillian Wuestenberg, 32, was leaving a Chipotle in Orion Township when she bumped into the victim's daughter.

The two women started arguing, and at one point, somebody accused Jillian of being "ignorant" and "racist." That's when Jillian's husband, Eric, got out of their minivan and joined the confrontation.

He eventually got his wife into their vehicle, and they tried to leave. Jillian continued to yell at the woman from the passenger's seat, arguing that she is not a racist.

"White people aren't racist. No one's racist. I care about you. I care about you, and I'm sorry if you had an incident that has made someone make you feel like that. No one is racist. I'm sorry if you had something like that happen," Jillian screamed.

As the Wuestenbergs backed out of the parking space, they nearly hit the victim, causing her to smack the back of their minivan with her hand. That's when Jillian pulled out a gun and pointed it at the woman and her daughter. After a tense encounter, Jillian put down the gun and got back in her vehicle.

When police arrived, the Wuestenbergs were taken into custody, and their guns were confiscated. Police said their guns were legally owned, and they were licensed to carry them.

They were released on a $50,000 personal bond. As part of their release, they must surrender all their firearms. If convicted, they face up to four years in jail.
