I am grateful past Presidents, still living, have been measured and, for the most part, silent during our nation's dealings with COVID-19. They're smart to have taken that direction. They know all too good and well the challenge this has presented to their successor, President Donald Trump.
George W. Bush was not a great conservative, but I believe him to be a great man because of his heart and humility. He has always had a knack for offering thoughtfulness when others struggle to find it.
