He was unable to favorably compete against men, but so intense was his need to win (literally at all costs) he transitioned from William Thomas to "Lia" Thomas and, because of cowardly leaders at his school, athletic department, and the NCAA, a member of the women's swim team at the University of Pennsylvania. There was no meeting with the female swimmers. There were "allegedly" orders, admonishments, and reprimands.
Until female (girls and women) athletes simply refuse to compete with and against transwomen this will continue. Mark my words ... it is the only solution. I am not even sure our corrupted judicial system is capable of righting the obvious wrong. In the meantime girls and young ladies are losing out on scholarships, awards, and, potentially, livelihoods.
