My visit with him was brief...nine minutes...but don't think it diminishes how memorable it was when I chatted with baseball broadcast icon Vin Scully as he was preparing for his sixty-fifth season of Dodgers baseball. His career intersected with my dad's and that 1965 World Series was part of our discussion.
With his passing yesterday at the age of ninety-four, I thought it appropriate to share our visit.
