The best. The worst. The funniest. All of those descriptions are subjective and when it comes to ads aired before, during, and after the Super Bowl. And there are no shortage of opinions.
The ad I will call the best came from a company I like a lot, Hyundai. It's called "A Better Super Bowl" and it was edited during the game because it was shot during the game at a U.S. military base in Poland. Hyundai reunited three families through 360 virtual technology placing the solider with their families who were at the game - guests of Hyundai. So, they got to enjoy a "better Super Bowl."
And then there's this bewildering ad from 84 Lumber which, for some reason, chose to glorify ILLEGAL immigration. It's a well produced ad, really well produced. A young mother and her daughter make the trip north and the sixty second version gets the point across. But, the ad asks you to visit a website to see the "full journey." I will save you the trouble and let you see the full production which is too long for commercial airing.
The kicker line at the end omits an obvious point. Tell me what you think.
