Alrighty speed freaks...this is just plain awesome. Using JFK's "to the moon" speech and Kennedy Space Center as a backdrop. Your going to see a car hit a top speed of better than 270 miles per hour (a record, they claim, for a two-seat sports car). There are clips of a Ford GT going 278, but we'll leave the debate to others. With the Hennessey Venom GT, the sheer engineering of such a feat with an engine that is not a "Craig Breedlove" jet powered vehicle is astounding. Oh, and then there's this little thing called downforce that was properly managed to keep the car on the ground. I will point out that the rotation speed of a 747 airline is just 167 miles per hour. As Inspector Gadget would say, "Wowsers!"
