A bill that would allow some adults to carry concealed weapons in schools has been approved by the Education Committee in the Florida House. Representative Dennis Baxley says schools are an easy target for shooters and teachers are defenseless.
Officials who run the public schools don't like the bill, but they know it has a good chance of passing... so instead of putting up a public fight, they're working behind the scenes to make it more palatable.
The bill has a long way to go in the legislative process, but it appears to be picking up steam.
Are you OK with certain members of public school faculties packing heat?
